Federal Polytechnic Ede, Osun State, has emerged as the sixth best school in an exposition organised by the Ministry of Science and Technology, Abuja for tertiary institutions in the country.

A statement by the polytechnic’s Public Relations Officer, Sola Lawal, on Saturday, said the institution’s team, which comprised five researchers, presented four projects for assessment.

According to the statement, the projects presented for assessment included a 3KVA inverter, running message display, chicken de-feathering machine and water dispenser.

“It is an annual event usually organised by the Ministry of Science and Technology with the theme, ‘Enhancing the growth of a diversified economy through science and technology,’ held at the Eagle Square, Abuja.

“Federal Polytechnic Ede was represented by Alhaji S. Adiat, Edaogbogun Goodness, Agboola Mutiu, Oke Timothy and Akinjogbin Oludele.

“We are pleased to announced that our institution came sixth among all tertiary institutions in Nigeria,” the statement read.
