Corps Members serving in Lagos State have donated 300 pieces of face masks, 300 pieces of 100ml hand sanitizers, 80 pieces of disinfectant hand wash and other items to the State Government as their contributions to combat the spread of corona virus in the State.

NYSC Lagos State Coordinator, Mr. Eddy Megwa disclosed this during the presentation of the items to Lagos State Government through the Commissioner for Special Duties and Inter-Governmental Relations, Engr. Tayo Bamgbose-Martins at the State Secretariat in Alausa, Ikeja.

He said the Corps Members produced the items through the Skills Aquisition and Entrepreneurship Development (SAED) programme of the National Youth Service Corps.

The Commissioner commended the Corps Members for the donation. He added that plans are underway by the State Government to integrate the Corps Members for other laudable assignments.

Meanwhile, Sequel to the directive by the DG to Corps Members to be innovative and contribute in their own way to the fight against COVID-19 pandemic, Abdullahi Sani, KN/19B/3893 also accepted the challenge by constructing a ‘Leg press hand wash’ Improvised mechanism at the NYSC Secretariat, Kano.
